What's on Your Plate?
Alli Watson

This session will be focused on each of our own personal roles, responsibilities and requirements on where we are currently putting attention into our lives. What are we spending our time doing? Is it what we want to be doing or is it healthy? Are there areas in our lives that we could bring into better balance? This session will have some time for personal assessment and a self reflection activity. Participants will need blank paper, a writing utensil as well as printed out assessment tools that Alli will provide.

Opportunity Thrive
Rebekah Schipper

The culture and climate of education today is putting extreme stress and pressure on our educators. Facing this stress and pressure in ways that not only allow us to survive our jobs but continue to grow in our passion and love for our jobs requires intentionality. This session will introduce participants to some of the practices that will help us thrive in our work as educators.

Art Relaxation

Tiffani Eden

My dear fellow worn out and tired staff members, we are going to take 30 minutes, not think about school and simply return to being a kid.  We are going to cut snowflakes!  I find cutting paper to be soothing and it allows your mind time to relax. The key to a beautiful snowflake is to fold the paper correctly.  I look forward to showing you how to do that and giving you some time to rest and have fun.

Mental Health

Hannah Kotsko

In my session, we will discuss different warning signs of mental health issues, what a teacher can do and when to reach out for support.  Due to the COVID pandemic, we will spend some time on how the extreme stress level is contributing to trauma levels, making higher levels of anxiety, depression and other issues seem more "normal" and are slipping through the cracks.

Miracle Mornings

April Yates

Are you a snooze-aholic?  I definitely was.  With all the stress that educators are managing today, sometimes getting out of bed can be daunting.  Start your day off focused on you, and you will discover yourself waking up with new and improved motivation and energy.  Resources and material based on the Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod provided.
